Six Engineering Trades

Welding

NQF Level 312–18 Months

Comprehensive welding training covering arc (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW) and structural welding processes. Trainees work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium across flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.

Boilermaking

NQF Level 318–24 Months

Boilermaking training focused on fabrication, fitting, plate work and boiler maintenance. Includes Eskom-relevant competencies in high-pressure systems, ducting and structural steel fabrication.

Electrician

NQF Level 318–24 Months

Electrical installation and maintenance training for industrial and commercial environments. Covers single and three-phase systems, motor control, fault-finding and compliance with SANS standards.

Plumbing

NQF Level 312–18 Months

Plumbing training covering pipe installation, jointing, drainage, water supply and gas fitting for industrial and residential projects. Includes compliance with SANS plumbing codes.

Mechanic

NQF Level 318–24 Months

Diesel and petrol engine maintenance, diagnostics and repair. Covers light and heavy vehicles, hydraulic systems, transmission and drivetrain components relevant to industrial and construction plant.

Building

NQF Level 312–18 Months

Construction fundamentals covering bricklaying, plastering, concrete work, formwork and basic structural work. Prepares trainees for site work on residential, commercial and government building projects.

Formal Assessment for Qualified Artisans

PRM Projects and Distribution is an accredited trade testing centre. Whether you completed your training with us or are an experienced artisan seeking formal recognition, our trade testing process provides the official assessment and certification required to work as a qualified tradesperson in South Africa.

Application & Eligibility Check

Submit your application with proof of trade experience or training. Our assessors verify your eligibility against NAMB/QCTO requirements.

Practical Assessment

Hands-on trade test conducted in our accredited workshop. You demonstrate competency across the core tasks of your trade.

Theory Examination

Written assessment covering trade knowledge, safety, regulations and technical understanding relevant to your discipline.

Certification

Successful candidates receive their trade certificate — the nationally recognised qualification that confirms your artisan status.
